2008 Parent/Guardian Girl Scout Survey

 

Women of Distinction Midlands Voiceover Contest

Requirements:

  • You MUST be a Midlands (Aiken, Chester, Edgefield, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lancaster, Lexington, Richland, and Sumter counties) Girl Scout to participate as this is a Midlands event and all activities will occur in Columbia.

  • You MUST be a Girl Scout Junior, Cadette, Senior or Ambassador to audition.

Think you’re meant for a career in radio or television? Here’s your big chance! It’s time to start planning the Women of Distinction video and we need your help. We need a talented Girl Scout to be the voiceover on this year’s video. It’s a great opportunity to have extra Girl Scout fun!

  • You MUST send in an audition on a cassette tape (more than one girl’s audition can be on a tape) in the following manner:

  1. Speak your first and last name

  2. Spell your first and last names

  3. Speak your troop number

  4. Speak your Girl Scout program level

  5. Read the following audition message:


Audition Message

Welcome to the 15th Annual Women of Distinction Awards Ceremony!  Tonight we honor:  Ann Marie Taylor, Patty Patterson, Linda Stern and Donna Sorensen.  These Midlands women have served as leaders in the community and role models to young women.  Through their service to the community and commitment to bettering the lives of today’s youth, they exemplify the Girl Scout Promise every day.  Please join us in celebrating the achievements of these Women of Distinction!

  • All auditions should either be mailed to:

       Columbia Service Center
       WOD Audition Tape
       130 Pinnacle Point Court, Suite 100
       Columbia, SC  29223

or delivered to the Columbia Service Center with the wording “WOD Audition Tape” labeled on the cassette tape.  If you choose to mail, please make sure you check postage rates:  we will not accept submissions with postage due.

  • Entries must be received at the Columbia Service Center by December 31, 2008.
