A Fantastic Outing to Cirque du Soleil!
By: GSSC-MM 11/30/2009

Thanks to the generous donation of Cirque du Soleil, approximately 70 girls from Girl Scouts of South Carolina—Mountains to Midlands, enjoyed a free, recent performance of Alegria at the Bi-Lo Center.  The students pictured here attend Welcome Elementary, Berea Elementary, Greenville Middle School and Tanglewood Middle School.  They are all members of the After School Girl Scouting Program.   States council Outreach Specialist, Marisela Mendez, “Not only had these girls never seen such a thrilling stage performance like Cirque du Soleil before, but many had never been to the Bi-Lo Center.  We are very appreciative of how that organization has enhanced the cultural experiences of our girls.”
