Exploring nature can happen anywhere. When you interact with nature you become more aware of how plants, animals and humans coexist. As we learn to respect and appreciate the environment, we may find an inner peace. We may be inspired to take action to preserve, conserve, or protect.

Camping together – constructing a temporary community with a common purpose – is a long-time favorite Girl Scout activity. Teamwork, leadership, independence, trusting, overcoming fear, living simply, listening and finding harmony are a few of the many benefits of camping together.

Brownies, Brownies far and near; grab your friends and all your gear! It’s time to head to Camp WaBak for a great time of making new friends, playing games, trying some new experiments, and exploring camp. Girls will work on the Home Scientist badge during this fun-filled event. Note: Please only bring the minimum number of adults required to supervise your group (see page 11, Volunteer Essentials 2012-2013). If you need to bring additional adults, you will need to get permission from Brandie Huffman (; if allowed to attend, the adults will be required to pay the girl fee.
