Exploring nature can happen anywhere. When you interact with nature you become more aware of how plants, animals and humans coexist. As we learn to respect and appreciate the environment, we may find an inner peace. We may be inspired to take action to preserve, conserve, or protect.

Camping together – constructing a temporary community with a common purpose – is a long-time favorite Girl Scout activity. Teamwork, leadership, independence, trusting, overcoming fear, living simply, listening and finding harmony are a few of the many benefits of camping together.

Let’s jump back in time! Do you know how to milk a cow, churn butter, or spin yarn? What do you know about blacksmithing or making soap? You will learn about these and much more at Simple Times Farm. Join us as we get down and dirty learning what it was like in early-America. In addition to experiencing the farm, you will get to enjoy a hay ride and take home candles made with your very own hands. Pack a lunch to enjoy the farm after the event.
