The education and employment disparities between males and females in science, technology, engineering and math professions makes Girl Scouting committed to offering opportunities for girls’ exploration of education and careers in STEM areas. Our all-girl environment and use of enthusiastic female role models provide an encouraging environment with eye-opening, thought-provoking ideas.

Learn all about how electricity works in this fun program! Girls will learn about parallel and series circuits through our very special conductive dough. Afterwards, they will put their knowledge and skills to the test when they learn how to solder and create their very own light-up pin. This program uses extremely hot soldering irons that can get up to 900 degrees (F)!

Each participant will be able to individually solder their own pin by themselves with Educator instruction. This two hour session includes time to explore the EdVenture Children’s Museum.
