Gold Award Project
Pampering Moms and Newborns
“For my Gold Award Leadership Project, I volunteered at the Lancaster Pregnancy Care Center, made presentations, held a shower to collect items for the new moms and their babies, and sewed tote bags for all the girls born during Girl Scout Week this year to commemorate Girl Scouting’s 100th Birthday,” Janna shares. “Girl Scouting has taught me to have confidence in my ability to make a difference and to find ways to put my ideas into action. I would advise younger Girl Scouts to earn the Gold Award. Make a plan and don’t settle for anything less than what you dream to accomplish.”

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Report a Problem
