Gold Award Project
Raptor Flight Pen for PAWS
“My Gold Award Leadership Project was building one of the largest raptor flight pens in the state. It is used for rehabilitating sick or injured raptors, such as hawks, owls, and eagles, so they can be released in a timely fashion,” says Laney. “Through my many activities in Girl Scouts I have learned how to become a leader in my school and community. I can take charge and direct a group. I am also a good listener who hears the concerns of any group I am leading. The Gold Award is a great goal to work toward because you learn many valuable skills and experiences.”

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Report a Problem
