Gold Award Project
Rosary Guild
“I wanted to help strengthen the faith of students before they faced high school and college, so for my Gold Award Leadership Project I started a rosary-making guild for fifth through eighth graders. We reached our initial goal of making rosaries for all Confirmands and First Communicants, and now we are making rosaries for classrooms, military personnel, and women’s organizations,” Lindsey explains. “We helped the recipients, but it also taught Guild members important lessons about sharing and doing selfless acts for others. And I learned a lot about myself as a teacher and being more adventurous and getting out of my comfort zone.”
