Gold Award Project
“At my high school, volunteering is a requirement for every student. Seeing our Beta Club as a volunteer-based activity, I thought it would be a good idea to get the members more involved with other students, so for my Gold Award Leadership Project, I created a club website. It also allows the community to learn about volunteer opportunities, too,” Beth explains. “Girl Scouting has taught me the importance of volunteering and staying active in the community, and through my project I was able to pass along this value. I realized what an impact I can make by getting lots of people involved in a common goal.”
