Ways to Invest in Girls
By choosing to donate to the Girl Scouts of South Carolina – Mountains to Midlands, you are supporting these important funds which directly contribute to the development of girls with courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Cathy Novinger Girl Scout Leadership Center
The Cathy Novinger Girl Scout Leadership Center in Columbia's Vista area will serve all Go-getters, Innovators, Risk-takers, and Leaders. Girl Scouts across our 22 counties will benefit from the 32,000 square foot facility that will create the workforce of the future.
The Leadership Center is designed to be an incubator for leadership for all young women across the council. The girls who learn to empower themselves at the Leadership Center will go on to strengthen the fabric of our communities, our state, our country, and our world.

Membership Fund
A donation to the Membership Fund supports girls who desire the Girl Scout experience but who are unable to pay the annual $25 national membership fee due to financial difficulty. Girls must apply for membership assistance through their local Service Center at the time of their annual membership registration.

Campership Fund
Those who have experienced the magic of Girl Scout camp know it is an opportunity we could never deny a girl! On average, it costs $215 to send a girl to one week of resident camp. Contributions to the Campership Fund reduce or eliminate the cost for a girl to attend summer camp if she has applied for, and been accepted for, a campership based on demonstration of financial need.

Adult Services Fund
Thoroughly trained, high-quality adult volunteers are our greatest asset in preparing girls to be the leaders of today and tomorrow. Donations help the Council cover the cost of recruiting and training adult volunteers, as well as supporting adult recognition events and providing volunteer tools and resources as needed.

Outreach
Girls in traditionally underserved or rural areas of Mountains to Midlands participate at neighborhood centers, in schools, through shelters and short-term housing facilities, and in partnership with other youth-serving organizations, such as the Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Clubs, and local housing authorities.

Lillian Holley Martin Travel Endowment
The travel award is named in honor of Lillian Holley Martin, who was an avid world traveler. Ms. Martin was an active volunteer in Girl Scouting, having served at the local, Council and national levels, including a term as President of Congaree Council and more than 20 years as a National Operational Volunteer. The Lillian Holley Martin Travel Endowment is dedicated to facilitating travel experiences by Girl Scouts, with first preference being given to girls of color and to those traveling to international destinations.

Memorials
We welcome any donations in honor or memory of a girl, leader or strong woman in your life. Your honoree will be notified, as will the family of a memorial recipient.
