What do Girl Scout volunteers really do? They open her eyes to a world of possibilities. They help her transform into a force for good. They prepare her to empower herself to unleash her most confident self. As a Girl Scout volunteer, you’re an everyday hero with an extraordinary super power: you prepare girls for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure. Because of you, every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ has the opportunity to learn what she’s capable of accomplishing and reach for the stars. And with your mentorship and support, girls grow into the leaders and change-makers the world needs. Being a Girl Scout volunteer is one of the most powerful, rewarding journeys you’ll ever embark on.

On Saturday, April 27, we came together at the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden in Columbia, in beautiful Kentucky Derby themed attire, to honor all our volunteers for the mentorship they provide, and recognize our award recipients who have went above and beyond the call of duty.

Our council offers our most sincrere congratulations and gratitude to each volunteer who was recognized during our awards ceremony, and all the volunteers across the 22-county jurisdiction of our council.
