Learn how to turn fast fashion into sustainable art! In this program, girls will recycle old clothes and fabric pieces to create a sustainable work of art with painting and collaging. Did you know in the United States the average person throws away approximately 81.5 pounds of clothes annually, leading to an estimated 11.3 million tons of textile waste? Let's join together to learn about sustainable change through art!

The program is in Columbia at the Cathy Novinger Girl Scout Leadership Center on May 18.. Drop off is from 9:45-10:00 a.m. Pick up is from 1:00-1:15 p.m. Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors can register. Due to grant funding, cost is $5 per girl for members in council and $8 per girl for members outside of the council and nonmembers. Adults can register to meet ratio requirements.

Please make sure to wear clothes and shoes that you feel comfortable getting messy.
