Level 1 Archery Instructor Certifcation (8-hour course) provides
you with the knowledge to safely run an indoor and outdoor archery
range. Level 1 instructors are prepared to teach beginner archery
programs to people of all ages and abilities. Instructors learn about
range safety, equipment maintenance, range set up, and steps of
shooting. This certification is a hybrid mix of online and in-person
instruction. The online portion will be sent to you prior to the
training, and it should be completed before the in-person
training.
Two choices for archery certification:
Full Price ($60 registration fee)- Facilitators that pass will be kept on an internal list of current facilitators but will not need to provide programming at the council level during the year. The internal list will not be for public use unless you indicate that we can share your information.
Council-sponsored ($60 value, $0 registration fee)- Facilitators that pass will be kept on an internal list of current facilitators and will be asked to assist in council-provided programming up to 2 times per year. The internal list will not be for public use unless you indicate that we can share your information.
All participants will need a bagged lunch, water bottle, closed- toe shoes, and no loose-fitting clothing or jewelry.
Training takes place on January 11 at Camp Mary Elizabeth from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cost is $60 for members and $100 for non-members.
Confirmation emails will be sent out three-five business days prior to the event's start date. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact customercare@gssc-mm.org.
