2012 'What Can A Girl Do?' Fall Product Program

September 21 - October 14, 2012
The Fall Product Sale focuses on leadership, collaboration and
exploring personal values through discovering, connecting and taking
action to create and foster a sense of teamwork.
Ashdon Farms has created exciting activities to help girls learn about the importance
of teamwork and the ways in which they can make a difference as individuals and as
part of a team. Girls are engaging in the Girl Scout Leadership Processes of Girl
Led, Learning by Doing, and Cooperative Learning by asking questions, encouraging
girls to make choices and decisions, and challenging them to plan and solve problems
together. Through Girl Scouting, girls become leaders in their daily life and prepare
for their bright future! Product Sales provides an important ingredient for leadership
by helping girls develop five key skills: Goal Setting, Decision making, Money
Management, people Skills, and Business Ethics.
Not only do the girls benefit, but the Fall Product Sale also allows the council to provide
First Aid/CPR training for one representative per registered troop, equipment for facilities,
start-up funds for troops, and underwrite GSUSA sponsored destinations (up to $500 scholarship).
Magazines, music, books, and nuts/candies are offered through the Fall Product Sale.
The Step II Address Booklet offers a way to contact out of town family and friends
to ask for their support. Girl Scout families can take advantage of the Online
Ordering for Magazines by clicking on the link for online ordering and more product
information.
