Girl Scouts are GOING PLACES! During the summer of 2008, four Mountains to Midlands
Girl Scouts participated in GSUSA destinations travel programs. During the summer of 2009, six
Girl Scouts from our council have been selected for destinations travel programs. In the coming weeks,
we'll share their stories of adventure and learning. We'll also update you on how to experience the
fun and excitement of Girl Scout travel for yourself! To be continued . . .
Five Girl Scout Gold Awardees are visiting Pax Lodge, the World Center
in London, England. In the photo below, Bethany, Caroline, Marissa, Megan and Betsy pause from their
busy schedule for a photo opportunity at London's Big Ben. These Girl Scouts are members of our first
council-sponsored Susu FUNd international travel team. To find out more about applying for the second
