ADULT LEARNING WEEKENDS

Girl Scouts of South Carolina – Mountains to Midlands invites you to fun-filled weekends where you are guaranteed to make new friends, renew old acquaintances, and learn new skills. The workshops offered during these weekends will give you new ideas to take back to your Girl Scout troop/group; or to share with other adult volunteers in your service unit. These weekends are designed for any adult volunteer – new, experienced or anywhere in-between. Spend the weekend enjoying the beauty of South Carolina while surrounded by Girl Scout friends!

MOUNTAIN MAGIC is held in the fall at Camp WaBak in Marietta, SC. Click here to see photos from the October 2008 weekend!

MIDLANDS MAGIC is held in the spring at Camp Congaree in Lexington, SC. This year’s dates are April 16 - 18, 2010. Come back in the fall to find out all the information you need to join the fun!

Join in this fun weekend for adult volunteers in Girl Scouts of South Carolina – Mountains to Midlands Council. The weekend is a time for adult volunteers to get together and make new friends, renew old acquaintances and learn new skills. The workshops offered will enrich your personal life and give you new ideas to take back to you Girl Scout Troop/Group. The training weekend is for any adult volunteer – new, experienced, or anywhere in-between. Options are available to spend the entire weekend or just a portion of it.

6:00 PM – 6:45 PM   Check In  
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM   Go green with Upstate Forever, a local organization promoting sensible growth and the protection of special places. Learn about current environmental issues at both the local and state level, and how to integrate sustainable thinking into your troop’s activities. We will also share ideas how troops can get involved and make a difference in protecting our air, water, land, and communities.
