The Mental Health Series includes four sessions of age-specific, interactive programs designed to help girls understand more about themselves and each other. It will cover a range of topics for each specific age group around emotional intelligence, identifying the dangers of social media, setting boundaries, healthy relationships, and suicide prevention. The one-hour workshops are held bi-monthly on Saturdays and are facilitated by Mental Health America.
This is a girls-only program which will allow a safe space for discussion. Adult volunteers and parents will be required to wait outside in the lobby. Council staff will be present inside the meeting to ensure ratio requirements are met.
The program is a series, but registration is open separately for each session. Sessions are held at Mental Health America in Greenville, SC.
*A sensitive issues permission form will be required for each session.
