Will learning be available virtually? Yes! There will be several virtual opportunities during the week before Saturday's in-person event.
How do I register for virtual sessions? Register for virtual sessions on our website's event calendar. In order to attend the Saturday event, you must register for the event separately.
How many people can attend Saturday's events? At this time, we can accommodate 50 volunteers at both the morning and afternoon sessions. We are continually monitoring CDC recommendations and will update event and capacity information as needed.
Cathy Novinger Girl Scout Leadership Center Sleepover Add-On Questions
Can I sleep over on Friday night at the Cathy Novinger Girl Scout Leadership Center? Volunteers registering for the Saturday morning session at the Cathy Novinger Girl Scout Leadership Center can purchase the option to sleep over the night before through TicketLeap. Sleepover tickets are first come, first served.
What is included in the price of the sleepover ticket? For either $20 (BYO sleeping bag, cot, twin or camp mattress) or $30 (bunk) receive sleeping arrangements, use of bathrooms, late-night snack, moderate choice of beer/wine, and light breakfast.
Can I request a specific room or bunk buddy? Sleeping assignments are first come, first served and will be random.
I'm sleeping over. What do I need to do before the Saturday sessions? When do I need to arrive and what do I need to bring with me? An email with more information about sleeping over at the CNGSLC will arrive in your inbox before the event!
Saturday Event Questions
Why two Saturday sessions? In order to accommodate more volunteers and allow everyone an option to participate, there is a morning and afternoon session.
Can I attend both sessions? To accommodate the most volunteers possible, we ask that you choose either the morning or afternoon session.
Can I bring my co-leaders? Yes! All registered GSSC-MM volunteers are eligible to attend but must register separately.
Can I bring my child? This is an adult-only event.
What type of learning opportunities are available on Saturday? Saturday's learning opportunities are designed to allow volunteers to collaborate and discuss important, current Girl Scout issues and topics.
Is food provided? For volunteers sleeping over and attending the morning session, breakfast is provided. For volunteers attending the afternoon session, a snack is provided.
ls this event free? Yes, the Volunteer Kick-Off Week sessions and Saturday morning and afternoon sessions are free. A registration fee of either $20 or $30 is required if you are attending the morning session and would like to stay at the CNGSLC overnight on Friday.
What is there to do in Columbia on Saturday? If you are attending the event on Saturday, you will receive information on area restaurants and entertainment so you can plan your full day.

How will we stay safe and socially distance? We are continually monitoring CDC recommendations and will set up rooms accordingly.
Are masks required to attend? For the health and safety of everyone in attendance, a face covering is required at all times except while eating or drinking.
