Interested in backpacking in the future? Learn and practice the
skills needed while having fun on the trail. We'll be cooking on
backpacking stoves, practicing buddy tenting, learning how to pack a
pack, exploring water purification, planning menus, and learning what
not to pack. Tent camping experience is recommended. The drop off
location will be Mill Creek County Park; pick up location will be
Poinsett State Park (exact site info provided to participants). Gear
and meals will be provided. A required informational Zoom meeting will
be held Sunday, April 27 at 6:00 p.m.
Event is from May 2-4 and it is open to 8th grade Cadettes - Ambassadors, with a minimum age of 13. Cost is $30 per girl. There are no adult spaces available.
