Join us for a day of outdoor adventure as Brownies work toward their Eco Friend badge at Congaree National Park! Girls will dive into the Leave No Trace principles, with a special focus on how to care for the unique plants and wildlife found right here in Congaree.

Using new Info Cards provided by Friends of Congaree Swamp and the Midlands Nature and Bird Alliance, Girl Scouts will learn about the birds, reptiles, bugs, flowers, and trees they're likely to see on a November hike.

After learning, we'll hit the trails for hands-on activities, including:

🌟 A scavenger hunt using the Info Cards

🌟 Practicing Leave No Trace in action

🌟 Nature observation and discovery activities

This program blends education with exploration-helping girls connect with nature while building the skills they need to be true Eco Friends!

This is a troop-based event, not a drop-off event. Any/all girls will need to register with a Troop Leader or Chaperone to be allowed to attend. Individually registered girls with adults are welcome to register as well. Adults will not be tasked with leading the program or activities but are required to stay for the duration of the program and provide supervision. If a registered and background checked adult cannot stay for the program, then the troop may not attend the program.

Confirmation emails will be sent out three to five business days prior to the program's start date. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact customercare@gssc-mm.org.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations will be handled through Customer Care. Council staff will notify everyone if they need to cancel at least by the day before, November 7, 2025. Refunds will be given up to one week prior to the event; please contact Customer Care at Csutomercare@gssc-mm.org directly to handle all refunds/cancellations.
