Ready to become a confident and capable babysitter? In this American Red Cross Babysitter Training with Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, Girl Scouts will learn essential childcare, safety, leadership, and emergency response skills while gaining the confidence needed to care for younger children. Participants who successfully complete the course will earn an American Red Cross Babysitter Training certificate, a Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and a Girl Scout badge.
To successfully complete the course, participants must attend the full session, actively participate, demonstrate competency in all required skills, and pass all required assessments.
Important: While there is no weight requirement to participate, Scouts taking the Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED portion should ideally weigh 85-90 pounds or more. Some younger or smaller participants may have difficulty meeting the CPR skill requirements, including achieving the proper compression depth and chest rise needed to successfully complete the certification.
Confirmation emails will be sent out three to five business days prior to the program's start date. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contactcustomercare@gssc-mm.org.
