Ready to backpack in the Caesar's Head area with Trailblazers M2M? This event is open to first time and experienced backpackers.
We will meet at Asbury Hills and hike two miles to our campsite and set up camp. We will then explore the area with a few short hikes to nearby waterfalls. That night, we'll view the rare blue ghost fireflies located in the area and spend the night in tents or hammocks. Meals are not provided but this will be covered in the training/info meeting. There will be a required informational meeting held on Sunday, April 26th at 7pm over Zoom for all participants.
PREREQUISITES: Girls need to be able to hike at least two miles while carrying between 20 and 30 lbs in a backpacking backpack. Don't have gear? We can help with that. Primitive camping experience is required. Primitive camping is defined as having camped overnight in a tent or hammock in a campsite with no established bathrooms and no running water or electricity. Girls
should feel comfortable in the woods with no facilities nearby.
Note: If you have never backpacked before, there is a REQUIRED in-person training that you must attend. The training will be scheduled and location determined once the April 4th deadline has passed and we know where registrants are located.
First time backpackers deadline: April 4, 2026
