Get ready to ditch the paper and code a sweet surprise for Valentine's Day! In this hands-on, three-hour workshop, girls will become Digital Designers and Animators as they create their very own interactive, animated Valentine's Day e-cards using the Wick Editor-a free, open-source creation tool.
We will explore how computer science powers all the videos and games they love, learning foundational concepts like key-framing, sequencing, basic scripting (coding for motion), and digital illustration. By the end of the workshop, each girl will have a completed, shareable digital e-card to send to a friend or loved one, proving that coding is a creative superpower!
Girls will need to bring a bagged lunch and a reusable water bottle.
