Ready to build, code, and put a robot to work? In this hands-on robotics workshop in Columbia, girls will work together to design a tool, build it, and program a Dash robot to complete real-world tasks.
Using graphic instructions and LEGO pieces, teams will build a custom claw tool for their Dash robot. Then, they'll learn how to use the Wonder and Blockly apps to control and command their robot to complete challenges like carrying objects and sorting items around the room.
Build it. Code it. Make it move! Girls will practice teamwork, problem-solving, building, and coding while discovering how robots use tools and instructions to accomplish a task.
This workshop is a fast-paced, in-depth learning workshop led by EdVenture Children's Museum. Entrance to the museum is included with your registration.
This is not a drop-off event. Any/all girls will need to register with a Troop Leader or Chaperone to be allowed to attend. Individually registered girls with adults are welcome to register as well. Adults will not be tasked with leading the program or activities but are required to stay for the duration of the program and provide supervision.
Confirmation emails will be sent out three to five business days prior to the program's start date. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact customercare@gssc-mm.org.
