Ever wondered how your favorite video games are made? In this hands-on STEM workshop in Columbia, girls will step into the role of a game designer and learn how code brings a game to life!
Using Microsoft MakeCode Arcade, girls will explore the basics of block-based coding through fun, retro-style arcade games. They'll follow guided tutorials to create games like Chase the Pizza and Collect Clovers, then use what they've learned to customize the code and create a game of their own.
Code it. Play it. Make it yours! Girls will build coding skills while exploring creativity, problem-solving, and the fun of designing their very own video game. They can save their projects to share and keep playing later!
This workshop is a fast-paced, in-depth learning workshop led by EdVenture Children's Museum. Entrance to the museum is included with your registration.
