This training equips volunteers with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to support Girl Scouts as they pursue the Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting. Participants will gain an understanding of the Gold Award process, coach responsibilities, and effective strategies for encouraging girls as they develop and lead sustainable community impact projects.
Gold Award Coaches play an important role in helping girls navigate challenges, think critically about their project plans, and grow as leaders while ensuring the experience remains girl-led. This training will also cover available council resources, communication expectations, and best practices for supporting girls from project proposal through completion, helping them achieve a meaningful and successful Gold Award experience.
