The Gold Award Presentation is an opportunity for a Girl Scout to discuss her Gold Award Proposal or Final Report with a reviewer and demonstrate her understanding of the issue her project addresses. During the presentation, the Girl Scout explains the community's needs, root cause, project plan, leadership role, sustainability strategy, measurable impact, and how her project creates lasting change. The presentation also provides an opportunity for the reviewer to ask questions, offer feedback, and help strengthen the proposal or final report.
The goal is to ensure the project aligns with Gold Award standards as outlined in the Gold Award rubric and clearly demonstrates leadership, Take Action principles, measurable impact, long-term sustainability, and meaningful community change.
All Gold Award Proposals must be presented and approved before a Girl Scout completes approximately 20 hours of project work.
