Strengthen the bond that matters most. This two-hour experience in Columbia invites Girl Scouts and their trusted adult-whether a female caregiver or troop leader-to connect in meaningful ways through guided activities focused on social-emotional health and positive
relationships. Led by Mary Addison Yates, owner of Journey 2 Empowerment, participants will build communication skills, deepen trust, and leave with tools to support one another long after the session ends.
This month's session: You know that moment where you meant to say "I'm fine" but what happened was a slammed door? Somewhere between "I don't know" and "YOU JUST DON'T GET IT" is what you actually meant to say. This session helps girls and their trusted adults figure out what they're actually feeling, say what they really mean, and set boundaries that don't turn into a whole entire thing. Spoiler alert: saying the real thing out loud isn't as scary as it sounds - and it's a skill you can both learn together.
