Ready, Set, Rise: Your Future Starts Here
Join special guest Fredrick Keenan, College Success Navigator with Spartanburg Academic Movement, for an engaging virtual session designed to help girls begin thinking about their future and the many pathways available after high school. This session will explore key college readiness topics, including the (P)SAT, FAFSA, college applications, and ways to prepare now for future educational opportunities. Participants will also learn about the benefits of earning the Girl Scout Gold Award and how it can strengthen college, scholarship, and career applications.
In addition to discussing the college planning process, girls will explore the importance of resilience and perseverance, learn how understanding brain development can help them navigate challenges and achieve their goals, and reflect on their own hopes, dreams, and plans for the future. The session will also encourage girls to consider whether a traditional four-year college is the right path for them by introducing other options that may align with their interests and aspirations.
