Join us for a fun and relaxing tubing adventure on the scenic Congaree River with Palmetto Outdoors! This trip is designed for Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, and adult volunteers who want to enjoy a laid-back day on the water while spending time with fellow Girl Scouts. The route features calm, flat water, making it perfect for beginners and anyone looking for a peaceful outdoor experience rather than a challenging river excursion.
During the 1.5-2 hour float, participants will travel a unique stretch of the Congaree River, passing a historic sunken ship and floating through the historic Granby Locks while taking in the natural beauty and wildlife of the river corridor. The trip begins near the West Columbia Riverwalk and follows the river downstream to Kelley Jones Park in Cayce.
This adventure is a great opportunity to unplug, enjoy nature, build friendships, and make lasting memories with your Girl Scout sisters. Tubes and life jackets are included. Participants must wear secure shoes that will stay on their feet while on the river and should arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled launch time for check-in and safety instructions. To help speed up the check-in process, waivers should be completed and signed in advance.
Whether you're looking to relax, laugh with friends, or simply enjoy a summer afternoon outdoors, Tubing on the Congaree River offers a memorable experience for everyone.
