Join us for the first meeting of the Virtual Girl Scout Book Club in partnership with Brown Girls Read. Cadette Girl Scouts will discuss the first half of Restart by Gordon Korman, exploring themes of identity, friendship, second chances, and personal growth while connecting with fellow readers and engaging with Girl Scouts from across the country through meaningful conversation.
This program is open to All Cadette Girl Scouts (grades 6-8). Since this is the first book club meeting, new participants are still welcome to join. Girls should read the first half of Restart before the meeting.
Discuss key events, characters, and themes from the first half of Restart
Share their thoughts and hear different perspectives
Connect with fellow Girl Scouts from across the country
Practice communication, critical thinking, and active listening skills
Through the Brown Girls Read partnership, participants will engage with literature that highlights diverse voices and perspectives while building community through shared reading and discussion.
